    Boy you really kicked me in the guts with your third line. Perfect. Second line is lovely but your cut is so well-judged. It’s nice to read a real haiku : )

      Luke,
      Not sure how cold fronts are referenced in your “neck of the woods” but in south Texas they are often referred to as “Northerns.” Really cold ones are titled “Blue Northerns.” We haven’t had one yet this winter, but I was in the mood for one (thus the poem). Thank you for the comment (always appreciate your observations). Keep up the posting.
