International Haiku New Year Festival 2011

Here is your
personal invitation:

Let’s share
haiku! Let’s recite
haiku!

What
is it?
It is an online festival
designed to give our
readers an opportunity to
share the
Japanese

short forms of
poetry with each other, and enjoy

writing, reading,
and reciting haiku.

The International Haiku New
Year Festival 2011
is to be held January 1st – 3rd
at the
Akita International Haiku
Network

website. There are haiku submissions from all around the
world, and this year, Hidenori-san is requesting photos as
well. It will be a poetic and visual celebration of the
coming Year of the Rabbit. Please join us.

If you want to submit a haiku,
the deadline is December 26–it was extended. Send one or two haiku
and if you can, a photo or two, to Hidenori-san at shhiruta@nifty.com by today,
December 23 . Hope to see you hopping by.
