Problems All Around

It is ridiculous to complain about my problems when others have much worse going on in their lives.  I will be a bit ridiculous today.  Apparently there is a disagreement between my blog format and my header format.  My bunnies aren’t showing up anymore.  Until I get it fixed, cherry blossoms will have to do.  My apologies, Leslie.

Here are a few of the blossoms from my garden.

You manage a glorious garden … I see the bunnies.

    • Yousei Hime says:

      Old Raven,
Glad you liked the peonies. My mother loves them too but lives too far south to grow them. The bunny problem was fixed pretty quickly, but I’m glad you could see them. I do love looking at them. I’m so grateful to Leslie.

  2. Your garden has some great flowers

    • Yousei Hime says:

      SeraphSili,
Hello sweet girl. So glad you stopped by. I haven’t visited anyone much, but I have wondered about how you are doing. Thank you for visiting and sharing. I’ve missed you as well. Be well and come back again soon.

  3. rdl says:

    where you been?

  4. rdl says:

ah bunnies & cherry blossoms and bleeding hearts – all good. hope you are well. do u happen to know what happened to haiku bones?? been away for awhile and wanted to get back on the loop.

  5. Jeremy says:

    That you?

    Bit 70s, isn’t it?

So you do professional proofreading and editing?

Or, you know, is it like blawg editing where people pay you to look at their texts and make a couple red marks, get your fitty bucks, and huck on home?

    • Yousei Hime says:

      Jeremy,
Yes, that is indeed me. The same picture should be on my “About” page on this blog. Does it look 70’s? I suppose it does. Thank goodness my hair isn’t like it was then. I had a perm that turned into a fro when brushed. Positively nightmarish. I do professional proofreading/editing for a hunting magazine. It’s only in it’s third year in print (was online). It has been interesting to see it improve. It is a different kind of writing, and I get to write my second article for it soon. Glad you’re doing better. On why haiku on the internet are bad, I very reluctantly agree with you, even my own sounded like a headline. Ugh. Now I have to write some that don’t. Challenge accepted. I let you know when there is one worth posting.

  6. passed by to see how ur doing…problems are inevitable so we live like they never existed. beautiful pictures in there…ciao!

    • Yousei Hime says:

      Emmanuel Ibok,
Thank you for passing by and for the comment. Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Hope you are doing well. Plan to visit sites soon. Watch for me. 🙂

  7. ichabod says:

    Heylo Yousie Hime;

I decided to drop over and see if I could get you to write again. That is what one would refer to as getting a nudge to success. 🙂

All the great ones had times of pause, and someone like me came around and pushed, and pushed and pushed. Some people with talent are difficult to move.

    But us pushers are persistent.

Have a great day Yousei. 🙂

  8. The Peonie is so pretty! It just says, “I’m alive! Hello world!” 🙂

    • Yousei Hime says:

      HurleyBurleyGirl,

problems are problems. no comparing. we all have different levels of sensitivity…one woman’s stubbed toe is another’s death blow… and vice versa… so glad to see your pics and read your world. peonies oh me oh my my my. i love ’em.
    oxo…

    • Yousei Hime says:

      Hey Sis,
Can you grow peonies where you are? My mother loves them, but they won’t grow well that far south. They need cold weather to grow properly for some reason. I thought they turned out magnificently this year. They’re almost done though. I hope to have pictures of peaches this year. Then I plan on eating them! 😀

  13. hames1977 says:

    hi yousei,

i love the bunnies painting. thanks to leslie. bleeding drops of flowers in your garden, i must say, fanstastic. how are you, it’s been a while since last?

    • Yousei Hime says:

      hames1977,
The bunnies are back. 😀 I should be back to posting daily very soon. School will be out and I won’t have to worry about my kids keeping up with their schoolwork. I am done with my springtime colds, thankfully. I intend to get healthier, get in better shape, and get to writing! Thanks for checking in. Hope you’re well too.

  14. roxie says:

Lovely! Flowers that is…so sorry to hear about colds. And congrats on anniversary, ours was middle of May. Don’t stress about the banner pics, change stirs up the muse — at least that’s what I tell myself in my peptalks! LOL

  15. Technobabe says:

Hi Sweetie, So glad to see you back. Sorry for your blogger problems. This header is very nice, and the main thing is you are feeling well and putting up a post. I am dancing over here. I missed you.

    • Yousei Hime says:

      Technobabe,
Hello my friend. So happy you dropped in. I’ve missed you too. After this next week, last week of school, I’ll be back to posting daily, or at least that’s the plan. Look forward to visiting you then too. 🙂

  16. lesliepaints says:

It’s fine, Yousei. I wondered why sometimes it was there and sometimes not. I hope you are over these nasty colds, now! Your flowers are totally gorgeous!

    • Yousei Hime says:

      Hi Leslie,
Think I got the rabbits back. Hope they stay this time. We have 12 baby rabbits here. I’ll try and get some pictures of them to post and share with you. Cute, cute, cute. One is all that’s left of a litter of two. Not sure why we lost his sibling, but he is soooo fat not having to share his mommy, that we just had to call him Albert. Best to you.

  17. blissbait says:

Hey! Happy almost anniversary! And while the bunnies are missed, the cherry blossoms are gorgeous, as well as is Your garden! BEAUTIFUL! I’m sending You Much Love and Sunshine! Hugs and Cheers and Namaste. 🙂

    • Yousei Hime says:

      blissbeam,
Hey happy lady! So good to see you. I think I fixed the bunny problem. I do like the cherry blossoms too though. Visited your site and enjoyed looking over your latest stuff. After this next week, I post daily again. I am so looking forward to getting back into it. Expect to see more of this silly rabbit then. 😉

  18. Viola says:

Hello Yousei, it is so nice seeing you on again. I love your garden it is so beautiful, and what a wonderful green thumb you have. I am afraid that I don’t have a green thumb, everything that I touch turns brown, so my husband tells me to stay away from plants and flowers. LOL Guess it isn’t the same thing as growing vegetables. Also I really like your haiku.

    • Yousei Hime says:

      Viola,
I’ve been thinking about you and praying for you both. Hope things are better. As to gardening, I’m not very good at it. If these flowers didn’t take care of themselves, I’d have none. Wish I could cut some and send them too you. The peonies are particularly lovely floating in a bowl of water. Best to you both.

  19. Lisa at Greenbow says:

It is good to see you back on the net. Your flower photos are beautiful even if there are weeds involved. Stay well now.

    • Yousei Hime says:

      Lisa,
Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I enjoy the flowers every day. They won’t last much longer, but they’ve been a blessing. This weekend I did a little “weeding” inside the house. Much overdue. Hope your doing well too.

  20. slpmartin says:

I have given up on garden…well for the most part…to0 many woodland friends…love the photos of your garden and the beautiful words that you’ve shared.

    • Yousei Hime says:

      slpmartin,
We have our share of woodland problems too. The deer destroyed our tomatoes last year. I didn’t even know they would eat them. Perhaps we’ll do a bit better this year. I don’t mind trying. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

  21. Jeremy says:

Today I went to Centennial Park in downtown Nashville so I could get my mind off the withdrawals. I feel as frail as an old Mexican. And I’m beginning to really like Mexicans for the kindness my neighbors have shown me.

The ducks at the pond did not fear me. That saddens me. They should be terrified. Why did we have to make them stupid too?

Reading your comment broke down my conscious intellect and actually felt good. I am half-dead writing this but I must say the time you took to write that paragraph lighted my mood from dark to mere dusk. Thank you, white woman.

I am glad I have something. Writing when I cannot think is still a personal Prozac. I just wish everyone else used it for something higher, more enlightening, more often.

I hope you’re doing better than I am. God knows it’s possible.

    (didn’t cuss anyone this time)

    • Yousei Hime says:

      Jeremy,
I am very glad to hear from you. Sorry your struggling. Also glad your neighbors are showing you kindness. Wish I lived closer and could share some kindness with you, as well as have a razor-edged intellectual debate or two. 😉 As one who raises ducks and other barn birds, I can tell you that they are not very smart creatures. However, I understand your feelings. For them to loose their self-preservation instincts is truly sad. You and I wouldn’t be around long if ours weren’t so strong, neh? I’m also glad to get another invite to read and will visit soon. One more week of school–woohoo! No matter how that turns out, I’m writing again. Please put up with my efforts. They won’t be final drafts. Most of what I post is something between 3rd rough draft and final. Since there is no set number of revisions, it’s hard to say how many more each effort requires. I just want to keep writing and improving. If I stop for fear of writing well-enough again, I’m afraid I’ll never write again. I’m determined for that not to happen. I’m sure you feel some similar suffocation at the thought of not being able to write, or worse, losing the desire to write. Our air went out last week, so I’ve thought about you quite often. Hope you’ve finally gotten comfortable. Final note–I really enjoyed reading your comment and laughed so hard when I read your final line. Looking forward to visiting and reading.

my what a beautiful garden you have….been a while. how are you?

    • Yousei Hime says:

      brian,
Thanks for stopping in and checking up on me. The garden has been lovely, despite the neglect. I’ve had two nasty colds this spring within three weeks of each other. The last one cleared up this Monday. Whew! A little Jingle said to wish you a Happy 14th anniversary. Congrats. Mine is coming up later this month. Hard to believe, 21 years. Not always happy, but that wasn’t a promise, was it. We keep on and we stay together. Hope to get back to visiting soon. Thank you again for stopping in. 😀

If you leave tracks, I'll find you.
